Abstract

The core tenets of the craftsmanship spirit—dedication, precision, excellence, and collaborative innovation—align perfectly with vocational education's overarching talent development philosophy of integrating moral education with technical skills and combining practical work with academic study. As a vital and foundational component of the vocational education framework, physical education courses not only fulfill their fundamental mission of enhancing students' physical fitness and imparting essential sports skills, but they also possess unique, irreplaceable educational advantages in subtly instilling the craftsmanship spirit and cultivating comprehensive professional competencies. This study takes the cultivation of the craftsmanship spirit as its central focus, transcending conventional, purely physical approaches to physical education curriculum design. By systematically identifying and analyzing the existing structural and pedagogical challenges within current vocational physical education systems, this research integrates the distinct characteristics of vocational education with the rigorous future job competency requirements of students. Furthermore, it explores the strategic development and implementation of an innovative curriculum framework that seamlessly combines occupational relevance, holistic competency development, and practical innovation. Through a detailed examination of pedagogical methodologies and curriculum restructuring, this paper provides actionable theoretical references and robust practical pathways for vocational institutions. Ultimately, the proposed framework aims to empower educators to nurture high-quality, well-rounded technical professionals who are physically resilient and deeply imbued with the enduring values of the craftsmanship spirit, thereby meeting the evolving demands of the modern industrial workforce.
