Abstract

Against the backdrop of intensifying supply chain competition and resource constraints, small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises face severe challenges regarding financial performance. Based on the perspective of Supply Chain Integration (SCI), this paper analyzes the structural deficiencies within these enterprises, including fragmented internal functions, superficial external collaboration, lagging digitalization, and a lack of trust. It reveals the transmission mechanism by which these factors suppress financial performance by driving up operating costs, retarding capital turnover, and increasing transaction costs. In response, this study proposes strategic paths such as deepening internal process reengineering, building strategic partnerships, accelerating digital transformation, and establishing trust mechanisms. The research indicates that implementing deep integration facilitates the transformation of enterprises from a "factor-driven" to a "collaboration-driven" model. This effectively optimizes return on assets (ROA) and cash flow, thereby realizing the steady improvement of financial performance and sustainable development.
