Author Introduction

  • Wang Dong

     (1969-04), Master of English Language and Literature, Lecturer of English Department, Foshan University, Foshan, China. In 1991 and 1998, he graduated from School of Foreign Languages, Henan University and was granted Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree. In June 2019, he was admitted to Assumption University in Thailand as a doctoral student. He is the author of two collections of poetry, The Stars Are Singing (in Chinese, 2009) and Original Love Poems (Shanghai Literature & Art Publishing House, 2018), as well as novel, A Fallen Leaf Regaining Life (in English, 2009). Till now, thirty-six academic papers of his have been published.

诗之为物，当以赤诚为魂、意象为骨，承载人类对真善美的永恒追寻。《More than Love》一书，系笔者在时光流转与生命体悟中凝结的诗歌合集。其创作缘起，既源于对个体情感轨迹的回溯，亦包含对时代语境下人性本质、精神家园的深层叩问，旨在以诗性语言打破现实与理想的壁垒，传递超越表层情感的精神力量。

全书创作过程始终秉持 “诗贵真” 的理念，摒弃晦涩炫技的表达，转而以鲜活可感的意象构建情感与思想的载体。从 “童年梦境里的粉手帕” 到 “星空下等待的渡口”，从 “荒原中寻觅的身影” 到 “时光织就的桑树叶”，每一组意象的选取，均源于对生活细节的洞察与对灵魂共鸣的期许。笔者尝试将爱情的纯粹、乡愁的绵长、对生命意义的思索，融入凝练的诗行，使诗歌既具备个人情感的温度，又拥有关照普遍人性的广度。
